Still time to sing Dear Lord and Father!

Thanks to those of you who joined us to sing last week. There's still time to join other members of the St Andrew's congregation in singing Dear Lord and Father of Mankind. We would like your recording back by Saturday morning, 18 July at the latest, please: the words and accompaniment track are here.

If you need any help, just drop Brian an email at brian@brianclegg.net

How to record
  • Sing along a couple of times to the accompaniment, until you feel comfortable with it.
  • Use headphones or earbuds to hear the accompaniment while you record (you will have to play the accompaniment on a separate device to the one you are recording on) - otherwise the accompaniment will record too loud in the background
  • Record yourself singing (here’s how below)
  • If you have an iPhone, run the Voice Memos app
  • Record by pressing the round red button (the microphone is at the bottom of the phone)
  • Stop the recording by pressing the square red button
  • Re-record if you went wrong
  • Send it to us - the easiest way is to select the three dots ... button next to the piece you've recorded, then Share, choose your email (Mail) and email it to brian@brianclegg.net.
  • If you have an Android phone, run your voice recorder app (if you don’t have one pre-installed you can download one in the Play store)
  • Record by pressing the round red button (the microphone is at the bottom of the phone)
  • Stop the recording by pressing the square grey/black button
  • Re-record if you went wrong
  • Send it to us - the easiest way is to select the three dots ... button at the top of the screen then Share, choose your email and email it to brian@brianclegg.net
If you can't email from your phone, you can use the same Share method to get the recording into Facebook Messenger or another communications app and send it to yourself, then pick it up on a computer.

Thanks! Looking forward to hearing it. If you haven't heard The Lord's My Shepherdyou can see the video here.
